~ Miyamoto Musashi
Avoid seeking the pleasures of the body.
Not to contravene the way immutable through time.
Be impartial in all.
Never be greedy throughout life.
Have no regrets in trade.
Do not envy others for good or evil.
Do not be saddened by all separations.
Feel no resentment or animosity opposite oneself or others.
Have no desire for love.
No preference in all things.
Never seek comfort.
Do not look for the finest dishes to satisfy his body.
Do not surround yourself at any time of life, precious objects.
Not back to false beliefs.
Do not be tempted by anything other than arms.
Concentrate fully on the way without fear death.
Same old have no desire to possess or use property.
Venerate the Buddhas and deities but do not count on them.
Never give up the way of tactics.

It seems strange that we can find a way to live where there is no conflict, no suffering, no confusion, but rather an abundance of joy and kindness. We read books, works of intellectuals we offer economic and moral society organizations. We also look to books written by theologians, religious figures with their favorite ideas and complacent to much speculation. Apparently it is difficult for most of us to find a way of living that is alive, peaceful, full of energy and clarity and where one does not depend on others. We are supposed to be mature and sophisticated people. Those of us who are older have witnessed two terrible wars, revolutions, uprisings, and suffering in all its forms. And yet here we are, on a beautiful morning, talking about all these things, perhaps waiting to be told what to do, that tells us a practical way to live, to follow someone who gives us a key to the beauty of life and a magnitude that exceeds the daily routine.
I wonder - and also you might be - why we listen to others. Why can not we find clarity for ourselves in our own minds, our own heart, and without distortion; why should we be so cluttered with literature? Can we not live fully, clearly, in a great ecstasy and really at peace? Our situation seems very strange, but it is what it is. Have you ever considered if you could not live a life completely devoid of efforts and struggles? We are constantly making efforts to change this, to transform it, to remove something, accept another, to imitate, to practice certain formulas and certain ideas.
The whole earth is a homeland for the brave man.
